KS2 Choral Day at Clayesmore School

What a privilege it has been today to take a group of 22 committed choir singers to this year’s KS2 Choral Day at Clayesmore. Alongside six other local schools, we spent the day rehearsing for an afternoon concert during which we performed three songs collectively, and then an individual piece. This year’s ensemble songs were a great challenge ranging from Burn by Ellie Goulding, Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen to You Can’t Stop the Beat from the musical Hairspray. Singing with a live band, other schools and incorporating harmonies inside the Chapel is a unique experience with lasting memories (not to mention the scrumptious lunch too)! My GPS singers showed great enthusiasm and energy throughout the entire day, and especially during the performance of their individual piece – our Gospel Music Mash-Up.
